In April 2021 the ACF office in Aitarak-Laran was devastated by a flood. Damage was sustained to the training centre building and office, and a significant amount of equipment was destroyed, including computer equipment needed to run its training courses. This compounded difficulties that ACF was already facing due to withdrawal of donors during COVID, and consequently it was forced to shut down its training centre and move offices.
For a decade ACF’s training centre was a vibrant part of the Aitarak-Laran community. Hundreds of youth would attend courses each year in English, IT and public management to better themselves and boost their employability in a competitive job market. The income from the training centre was funding for ACF’s office rent and staff wages, reducing the risk of being dependent solely on donors.

Can you help ACF?
ACF is planning to reopen its training centre and continue offering its established skills development courses, along with offering new courses in soft skills for the workplace and female leadership. But we need your help!
ACF is seeking donations of office equipment including computers, laptops and furniture. It also needs a new centrally-located office space with free rent until its income is reestablished. If you can help please get in touch.
